- Leeds City Fire Brigade Western Station on Stanningley Road. Leeds City Fire Brigade resumed responsibility for the protection of the city from fire on 1st April 1948 and this station was established as one of the five fire stations in Leeds, the others being: Central Station, Park Street; Eastern Sub Station, Gipton Approach; Northern Sub Station, Chapeltown and Southern Sub Station, Middleton Crescent.
